Regina Meszlényi (MTA TTK Research Centre for the Natural Sciences of the HAS): Applications of deep learning to brain research
With the increasing popularity and performance of deep learning methods many scientific fields adapt deep learning to solve their challenges. Cognitive neuroscience is no exception: with specific modifications deep neural networks can be successfully used to analyze anatomic and functional brain images, as well as functional connectivity networks. At the Brain Imaging Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences we work on neural network architectures that have the potential to advance cognitive and clinical brain research.
